Where do your patients need to be located?+

We largely serve patients from across the San Francisco Bay Area, although given our HIPAA-compliant telehealth approach we can see clients from anywhere in California. If you live outside of California, licensing laws prevent us from providing ongoing therapy or evaluations, but we're happy to help connect you with a qualified provider in your state.

How do you protect my privacy and follow HIPAA rules?+

All of our sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. We store records in encrypted systems that meet or exceed federal privacy standards, and we never share your information without your written consent unless required by law.

How much do your services cost?+

Therapy sessions are $275 per hour. Neuropsychological evaluations are $375 per hour.

Do you accept insurance?+

No, we are a self-pay provider. We can provide invoices for you to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

Do you provide services in languages other than English?+

At this time, our services are offered in English only. If you require therapy or an evaluation in another language, we would be happy to provide referrals to trusted local providers in the Bay Area who can better meet your needs.

What is your cancellation policy?+

We require at least 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a fee.

Therapy

What should I expect from my first therapy consultation?+

The first 15-minute consultation is free, and focuses on understanding your concerns, history, and goals. It's also a chance for you to get a sense of whether we're the right fit for you.

How long does therapy take?+

Each session lasts about 50 minutes. The overall length of therapy depends on your needs — some clients come for a few months, others for longer-term work.

What is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I)?+

CBT-I is a structured, short-term form of therapy that helps people improve their sleep without relying on medication. It focuses on identifying and changing thoughts and behaviors that interfere with restful sleep. Research shows CBT-I is one of the most effective treatments for chronic insomnia.

What is Imagery Rehearsal Therapy for nightmares?+

Imagery Rehearsal Therapy (IRT) is a specialized technique for reducing the frequency and intensity of nightmares. It involves writing down a distressing dream, changing the storyline, and mentally rehearsing the new version while awake. Over time, this helps retrain the brain and can significantly reduce nightmare symptoms.
