Many adults come to me having spent years — sometimes decades — wondering why certain things feel so much harder for them than for other people. They're smart. They work hard. But they can't finish what they start, they're chronically late, their focus slips at the worst moments, and no amount of effort seems to change the pattern.
A formal ADHD evaluation doesn't just tell you whether you have ADHD. It gives you a detailed picture of how your brain works — the areas where you're genuinely strong, and the areas where you're working against your own neurology. That understanding is the foundation for everything else: treatment, accommodations, strategies that actually fit the way you think.
Stop wondering. A comprehensive evaluation gives you a definitive picture, not a screening score.
Documentation for workplace adjustments, school support, or testing accommodations (SAT, GRE, LSAT, MCAT, bar exam).
Whether you're considering medication, therapy, or coaching, a thorough evaluation informs which approaches are most likely to help.
ADHD rarely travels alone. I conduct a comprehensive assessment that rules out other conditions that can look like ADHD, and identifies any co-occurring conditions that may also need attention.
Sustained attention, selective attention, working memory, and the ability to filter distractions.
Planning, organization, impulse control, cognitive flexibility, and the ability to initiate and complete tasks.
How quickly and efficiently the brain processes information.
Verbal and visual memory, helping differentiate ADHD from memory disorders.
Depression and anxiety frequently co-occur with ADHD and can produce overlapping symptoms.
Placing attention deficits in the context of overall cognitive ability.
We'll talk through your concerns and I'll answer your questions about the evaluation process. No obligation.
A detailed conversation about your developmental history, school and work experience, and daily challenges. About an hour.
A series of well-validated cognitive tasks measuring attention, memory, processing speed, and executive function — along with informant interviews (with your permission) and self-report questionnaires. Testing typically takes 3-5 hours, and can be spread across sessions if needed.
We'll meet to review your results in plain language, discuss what they mean, and talk through next steps and recommendations.
A detailed report with your full results, diagnosis, and specific recommendations you can share with physicians, therapists, schools, or employers.
ADHD evaluations are billed at $375 per hour. Total cost depends on complexity and will be discussed during your consultation.
Our practice is private pay. We can provide a detailed superbill for out-of-network reimbursement.
